Novine History > A Lost Brother

Surprisingly the native people seemed to recognize the Novines and their myths suggested that they knew much of the newcomers already. What later expeditions were about to reveal was that the Novines were not the first to enter the new world as large groups of seemingly native humans did already inhabit the vast Avoa jungles. These have been named the Bremians or the first travellers. The Bremians formed primitive tribes of nomadic hunters who constantly strayed the endless forests in search of food and shelter. Since they held no written record of their past only myths and legends could yield an answer to when and how they found the new world. In the years that followed Bremians and Novines gradually began to unite as the growing settlements seemed to allure the wandering tribes towards civilization. The Novines welcomed them as a lost brother believing themselves to be the bringers of light into a world of darkness and ignorance.
