Gjurons > The Pirate Empire
A sluggish race of mutated ilk the Gjurons are truly hideous to behold. Changed through centuries of genetic experiments Gjurons come in many shapes. Some are clawed warriors with crested faces, while others take shape of serpentine horrors. Sworn enemies of the Concordia the Gjuron empire became the bane of its ally, the Regno who succomb to their cruel warfare.
 Lead by slug-like matriarchs – after whom they are named – the Gjuron minions form a wealthy trade empire dominating great parts of the Inland Sea, only rivalled by the prosperous Caravan Company of the Asfarians. Using their strange arts to manipulate the ocean weather to their advantage the Gjurons are as much pirates as they are merchants. Screening the naval traffic from their scattered network of islands the Slug Fiends travel below the surface in strange underwater vessels using both their mastery of the sea and military force to keep their trade partners and rivals in a tight grip of piracy and terror.
