Sar-Khalens > The Blood Cult
Long ago when the Khalens were known as the Sun-People a terrible curse corrupted their blood turning them into a twisted shadow of their once peaceful civilization. The only thing preserving their sanity now is the daily use of Soma. Those who neglect the tradition become Sar-Khalens, sick and wretched beings driven mad by the ancient curse, yet stronger and more fierce than their civilized cousins.
 For centuries the two nations have fought each other in a series of bloody wars, and it is said that Sar-Khalens are really fallen Khalens who have given in to their dark nature, consumed by the treacherous power of the Fire Blood. Regardless of their origin Sar-Khalens seem closely related to Khalens, a twisted mutation with dark red skin although their uncontrolled abuse of Blackore has caused them to mutate into a hideous image of the Khalens. The Sar Empire is a chaotic society ruled by violence, cannibalism and bloody sacrifices in honour of their two main gods, Iruakis, the raven god of war, and the secretive cult of Mua Isha, the Earth Serpent.
