The four-armed children of Novine and Khalen love-affairs are the people of tomorrow, say some. Blackened in their purple skin by the taint of an ancient curse the Asfar people are known to be passionate lovers, furious opponents and sly merchants. Few people can withstand their seductive voice and the gaze of their deep blue eyes.
 Revered as prophets of Isphar – the Asfarian god of fire – the Akihans are both the spiritual and secular leaders of their people. The priesthood of Isphar is as old as the Concordia, and although it plays a central role in Asfarian culture it has been banned from many provinces by the Zilc administration. Like his people, Isphar is a passionate god with a cruel taste for blood sacrifices. Disliked for its debauched orgies the priesthood have now become a secretive cult performing their aberrant rituals in secrecy. Some Asfarians still worship their old god, Maa – lord of the earth – a practise they share with the Maaril people.
