Asfarians are infamous throughout the new world for their taste for worldly pleasures, luxury and wealth. They are obsessed with vanity, greed and pride, and as master merchants they are as persuasive as they are charming. Only a handful cities in the new world have pure Asfarian population, but since parts of the northern Asdratis were given to the Asfar people during the Scarab Wars this region now known as the Myriad is generally thought of as the homeland of the half-breeds. Most purple-skins are members of the prosperous Caravan Company, but despite their enormous wealth and influence the Asfarians seldom mingle with politics. Instead they spend their time on trade, entertainment and a seemingly endless series of internal feuds fought between the dominant clans. Each lead by an Akihan, the clans date back to the first Asfarians that emerged briefly after the Scarab Wars and the forming of the Concordia.
