Mata, The Essence of Knowing
The Essence of Knowing is the symbol of the earth and logical mind. Mata is associated with science, laws and order. It has the power of the earth – its strength and hardiness – as well as representing the conservative aspects of nature. Mata paths are mostly concerned with the science of alchemy, controlling and shaping earth and dust. Mata Paths are:

Alcymea – The Art of Shaping
A scientific path founded upon the belief that all earthly matter is shaped and defined by its concentration of energy. By pushing that energy middlers are able to change metals and stone into another form or substance as well as binding spiritual energy into powerful magic stones as talismans and amulets. Examples of Alcymea Gifts are Earth Mould, Power Stone, Amalgamation & Clay Servant.

Punsila – The Changing Dust
A mystic path based on the elusive Murk Dust – the seventh element – a strange substance combining the aspects of earth, air and spirit matter to form an ever changing earthly dust. Unravelling its secrets has taught middlers to shape and control the powerful dust for various purposes. Examples of Punsila Gifts are Shifting Sands, Black Taint, Dust Pillar and Matter of Creation.

Telluris – Secrets of the Earth
A Path founded on the laws of nature and the earth. By studying gravity, magnetic fields and seismic events middlers can use their knowledge to bend the laws of nature causing earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and disturbances to magnetic fields. Some have even learned how to move through the earth itself. Examples of Telluris Gifts are Magnetism, Gravity Field, Earth Call and Subterra.
