There are three Basic Scholar Careers you can choose from. To access either one of them requires 5 or more Class Levels as a Scholar. That is 5 Levels as any available Scholar Career.

Quillwarden
Basic Scholar
Quillwardens are the keepers of the fabled World Scroll, a sacred scripture created by the all-seeing Scroll Prophets to log any worldly event. Guarding the Life Scroll of each citizen these scribes hold immense power in the cities and are thought to know almost everything. Through elaborate studies of ancient texts the Quillwardens are masters of literature and it is said they can effect the very destiny of any citizen through strange letter magic known as Writs. Quillwardens are also responsible for making the laws of the Concordia and work closely with Zilcs, Thots and their faction brothers, the Tojah Prophets.

Stone Tender
Basic Scholar, Crafter Class Entry
Servants of the Zilc administration the Stone Tenders are heralds and clerks of the government and their tasks are many. Their main function is to maintain the stones and crystals used by the Senate for communication and public order. Whispering Stones are set in public places and programmed with news and announcements while Guard Stones are used to protect the citizens from crime. Stone Tenders are often seen patrolling the streets in company with Rungins and although their main function is city administration they are known as capable fighters assisting the city guard in keeping law and order.

Wedu Seeker
Basic Scholar, Ranger Class Entry
Highly sought for their vast knowledge of languages
and gift of second sight, the Wedu Seekers play an
important role in the lands around the Inland Sea,
populated by a motley mess of foreign civilizations.
The Seekers are said to translate any spoken tongue
– a gift they obtain through strange bonds of
symbiosis. Their most common choice is the Ilasgarpa,
a highly intelligent form of fish used for telepathy,
but it is from the Wedu slug the Seekers took their
name. Only the most fanatic Seekers will endure having
a Wedu implant in their skull, but those who do are
known to achieve many dark powers.
