Careers > Changing Career

So, how do you change Career and what happens? You can only change your Career every 5 Levels. This applies to any Career at any time during the game. Once you begin a new Career you keep your old Careers and the training you have, but until you change again you are only allowed to spend XP in your current Career. That doesn’t mean you cannot use the Skills and Paths you learned from other Careers, but you cannot raise them unless they appear in your current Training Table. You can always return to a previously chosen Career and continue your training there as long as you stick to the 5 Level Rule. By default you can only have Careers belonging to the Class you begin with, however certain Careers allow you to change Class and as such level up in multiple Careers belonging to different Classes. Such are called Class Entries. You can only change Class by putting 5 or more Levels in a Class Entry, and you will only unlock that specific Class mentioned in your Career.

Let us look at Vyrninhar again. He started out as a Ranger and after 5 Levels he became a Drone Rider, which is a Basic Career (5 Ranger Levels) and also a Class Entry from Ranger to Warrior. Vyrninhar chose to spend 15 Levels as Drone Rider before he changed to Warrior. He could of course have done so after only 5 Levels. After 5 Warrior Levels Vyrninhar can now become a Rungin and invests some more Levels in both Careers. After 15 Warrior Levels he decides to add Gladiator to his list of Careers, and once he has gathered 30 Warrior Levels, he eventually becomes a Berserker.
